E-Learning: Design Opportunities at Home Part 2

This is my initial design. It is like a rectangular box that has holes on both sides that allows the wires to come out. In the box itself has more smaller rectangular boxes that can allow charges or normal wires to fit into it. This way, we can easily trace out the wire that we want.
This is my refined design and also the final design. It is almost the same as the initial design just that it is smaller in size so that it can fit into smaller areas.

Energy Conservation video... Questions and Answers.

  1. What do you think are some of the limitations of using renewable energy resources, based on the clip that you have seen?
  2. What are some possible solutions that the video have suggested?
  3. How do you think Energy Conservation messages can be communicated effectively in the school or local context? Give or suggest some examples.

Answer:
1. Some limitations of using the wind turbine is that when there's no wind, the wind turbine would not spin and thus, not generating any electricity.
2. Some possible solutions are placing smaller wind turbine in residential areas instead of a big wind turbine and place the huge machines further from people.
3. Energy conservation competitions can be held in school or an event to turn off all electrical appliances on a certain day.

Energy Conservation video...Messaging for Kids

I think the targeted audience are some adults and children to remind them to save energy by turning off lights when not in use.

The main key messages of the clip is to convince us to change our light bulbs into CFL light bulbs to conserve lighting energy so as to save more energy for the environment.

Yes, I think that this clip is effective as it has cartoons to attract the attention of children, besides that, this clip also tells us about the good uses of CFL bulbs and in what ways it is better than incandescent bulbs.

In my opinion, I think that this messages can be improved by having them on the television as most children would be attracted by the cute cartoons in the clip and thus, listen to what they have to say.

3 things i learned in today's lesson.

1. The key factors of the sectional view is to view the interior design of an object and to understand it well.
2. Oblique drawings are different from isometric drawings as oblique drawings 45 degrees while isometric drawings are 35 degrees.
3. When you connect the laptop to the cable and every things turns big, u can adjust it by going to system preferences--> display---> 1028x680 Hz 60 to turn everything back to normal size.
